MCKEE Campbell Morrison (MCM) has appointed labor law specialist and mediator Laura McKenna to lead the firm’s new labor law and human resources division.
Laura joins the highly regarded employment law team at Morton Fraser LLP, where she has worked with a variety of private and public sector clients across a range of sectors.
His wealth of legal experience includes negotiating and resolving complex disputes, representing clients in labor court hearings, and general counsel work on contracts, exits, dismissals and business transfers.
Laura said, “I look forward to working with the MCM team to complement their existing offering to customers. I want to learn about clients and their specific business goals in order to offer personalized advice to help them achieve those goals as effectively as possible. This will be a key objective for the new division.
MCM was founded in early 2021 by Stacy Campbell, Maureen McKee Matheson, Fraser Morrison and Alan McKee. Since then it has grown significantly – more than doubling its workforce with 14 staff now working across a range of specialties – including commercial and residential real estate, corporate, litigation and private clients.
Fraser Morrison, Managing Director and Head of Business at MCM, said: “It’s fantastic to have Laura on board. We are delighted to be able to launch this new offering and Laura’s experience in the employment industry will add tremendous value to the excellent service we already provide to our clients.
“We have built up a strong portfolio of clients over the past year and we know that there is a real and growing need for specialist employment law advice. I am therefore certain that Laura’s appointment will be well received by our existing clients. I look forward to seeing the division grow stronger and grow in the months and years to come.
