Samvad co-founder steps down

Harish Narasappa, the co-founder of Samvad Partners, will step down as a partner and complete his transition from the business by March 31.

This development comes as Narasappa has been appointed as lead counsel by the Karnataka High Court. He specializes in legal matters relating to general corporate law, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, banking, corporate finance, dispute resolution and commercial real estate.

“As senior counsel, I will focus more on dispute resolution and policy work, and less on corporate transactions compared to what I did at Samvad,” Narasappa said. Indian Journal of Business Law. “Furthermore, I will have no organizational responsibility, as the lead attorneys are essentially independent practitioners.”

In his new position, Narasappa looks forward to becoming more involved in policy work and public law litigation, in addition to working on issues relating to commercial dispute resolution.
